The Masonic Temple Detroit

The Masonic Temple Detroit is another great theatre (which seats 4,404) and performance venue in Detroit. It is a historic place and has long been a favorite place to go for shows and performances for everyone.

Located not far from downtown Detroit and Foxtown, the Masonic Temple plays host to a variety of things including plays, shows, dances, and even school proms. Although the neighborhood surrounding it is not the greatest, it still is one of the top venues in the city. As with many buildings in the city, I like the Masonic Temple because of its architecture.

Built in 1926, it clearly reflects the architectural influence that spread throughout the city during this time. The building has a sort of Neo-Gothic style which I like, and it makes for some great pictures, especially the sculptures on the building.

The building is also the largest Masonic structure in the world. Be sure to check out the Masonic Temple website for show dates and availabilty if you would like to hold an event there. If you chose to hold an event there, it is probably one of the best places in the city you could choose. Good luck!
